What is Project Unnati scheme MGNREGA?
Project Unnati Yojana 2023, brought by the Rural Development Department of the Government of India, is a scheme to enhance the skills among the people. In which emphasis will be laid on how the skill development of people can be increased. Through Project Unnati Scheme 2023 MGNREGA, all those working under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Act 2005 will be given skill development training and inspired to become self-reliant.
Through this scheme, efforts will be made to reduce people’s dependence on Mahatma Gandhi NREGA. Through the scheme, people will be motivated towards self-employment and employment. The main objective of this scheme is to make people stand on their own feet and equip them for their livelihood.
Eligibility for Project Unnati Scheme
Some eligibility criteria have been prescribed to avail the benefits of this scheme which are listed below –
- The benefit of this scheme will be available only to those people who are currently working under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Scheme Act 2005.
- The age of the person applying should be between 18 to 45 years.
- Those who want to get tuition under Deendayal Upadhyaya Kaushal Yojana should be between 18 to maximum 35 years of age.
- People who want to get training from Rural Self-Employment Training Institute or Krishi Vigyan Kendra should be between 18 to 45 years of age.
- Educational qualification is determined according to the course.
- There are provisions for educational qualification from class 5th to 12th.
- Under this scheme, only one person from any family can get training.
Objective of Project Unnati Scheme MGNREGA
Under this scheme, a total of 2,00,000 beneficiaries will be trained over a period of three years in 26 states and 2 union territories. The aim of this scheme is also to motivate the people who are getting benefits under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme for self-employment.
Not only this, those who have completed 100 days of availing the benefits of this scheme are also going to be given a stipend by the government. Registration will be used by the government for the systematic operation of this scheme. Through which applications will be taken for counseling and mobilization of the beneficiaries.
Role Of SRLM In Project Unnati
National Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) will also play an important role in the operation of this scheme. The State Rural Livelihood Mission will select the beneficiaries for this scheme and will work to sponsor them.
