Jim Harbaugh Officially Decides On Offensive, Defensive Coordinator

Late last month the Los Angeles Chargers landed arguably the top name in the head coaching market.

Jim Harbaugh decided it was the right time to move on from the Michigan Wolverines after leading the team to a national title.

After flirting with the NFL for years, Harbaugh couldn't pass up the chance to coach a top-tier quarterback like Justin Herbert.

In the time since he was hired there have been rumors about what his coaching staff would look like.

Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter was the first name tossed around as a potential for the Chargers defensive coordinator role.

Meanwhile, reports suggested Harbaugh would go back to the well with Greg Roman as his offensive coordinator.

After being rumors for the past week, those moves became official on Tuesday night. Minter said goodbye to the Wolverines in a heartfelt post.

"Nothing but love to everyone at Michigan, especially the players. We had a great journey together," he said.

Meanwhile Roman signed on the dotted line as well. "Greg Roman’s deal is now agreed to and done, per source, and he’s set as the #Chargers offensive coordinator.

A huge hire for Jim Harbaugh, locking in one of the most accomplished OCs around," NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said.

With the coaching staff nearly complete, the Chargers can get a head-start on free agency and NFL draft preparations.
